Visiting Chepstow Castle 

Chepstow castle is one of Wales’ most accessible castles. It is perched high above the River Wye but runs parallel to the town that it dominates. The castle dates back to 1067 and became the key to controlling the unruly principality to the West.  It has many points of interest including the immense Great Hall and Europe’s oldest castle gates ( probably). Parking is easy to find and cheap. Feel free to use any of the photos below.
