It’s night before the prestigious Welsh Open Flames of War competition here in Cardiff. I’ve just finished painting the smallest and most powerful force I ‘ve yet to take to a competition. If you can’t out-think or out manoeuvre your opponent, you need to roll over him and that means Pershings!
A third of the force points is spent on three of these bad boys! Five more Sherman tanks takes me to over a thousand points. Half a battery of priests and a platoon of ground-hugging G.I.s and that’s it……..
Colin looks to have worked his magic in hearding the cats towards the Saturday start-line. It looks like it’s going to be over fifty competitors and guess who is going to be last….
Top seed, and sensei to us younger gamers, Mark Grizzly Bear followed the latest trend; heavy armour in a maximum of one Really Useful plastic box…
