“The cold within him froze his old features, nipped his pointed nose, shrivelled his cheek, stiffened his gait; made his eyes red, his thin lips blue; and spoke out shrewdly in his grating voice.”

Well Christmas Day is finally here. Sons One and Two got off to sleep at half past two and three o’clock respectively. I have now wrestled with the “easy” construction of a gaming chair and synchronised two kindles and one PlayStation knung- chucks ( whatever the hell they are). ………Son two is now playing some game about painting in a combat environment and son two has been sent to his room for insubordination. The image below is not supposed to represent anyone from Cardiff Wargames Club ( honest😉)

Rather than pour out the usual high quality, exquisite prose I shall rather provide the lists of what was hot, what is hot and what will be hot in the year to come…..I pray your indulgence dear friend

Ghosts of Christmasses past!

Flames of War- gone but not forgotten

ISIS- gone and should be forgotten

  1. Where do youeven fond all these pictures 😂

So Over the Hill was disappointing? That’s sad news really. I had high hopes for it.
I hope to read a General D’Armee report on your blog sometime soon 🙂
Merry Christmas and thanks for all the fun reads!
May your ADLG bring you more glory in 2018 😉

    1. Hi great pal! I hope you have a brilliant Christmas! As to the sources for the images, I cannot divulge. Suffice to say Dodgy Nigel posts them and Dirty Chris ‘edits’ them!
To be honest I didn’t give Over them There hills a fair chance. I couldn’t understand the command and control whereas, if you go to YouTube, Dave Brown gives a full explanation of D’armee! The only thing is now is that I have decided on larger units than Blucher and Lassalle needed. A unit of Hussars and Dragoons already on the way though!
Many thanks for all your comments and support. Have a great New Year!
