I know we should be thinking of peace on earth and goodwill to all men but we are wargamers there is new set of Napoleonic wargames rules out, Bataille Empire by the redoubtable Herve, and plans are afoot. Just as I was contemplating getting rid of my 28mm French army, wargames celebrity and kestrel fancer Steve Charlton sent me pictures of what he has achieved in God’s own scale and, he is moving over to Bataille Empire.
It’s not quite Bethlehem but I’m sure he has included at least one stable. The models are Charlie Foxtrot and I’m sure you will agree as to their quality.
Built for Sharpe Practice we hope to be hosting Steve’s collection in the not too distant future at Firestorm Games. Bataille Empire “armies” are similar in size to the L’art de la Guerre 200 points armies by the same author. That means that even in 28mm, the armies are affordable and within reach of the average gamer.
