When a good friend sends you pictures from his around Europe van:life travels like the one below, you know your life suffers in comparison…

Palatea in 2024: a possible refight on 30th December 2025 Christmas game.
Two phalange heroes ready to inspire heroic deeds!

Some of us may not be in Turkey this November but our minis can transport us elsewhere in time and place. Time is of course running out before the Godendag To the Strongest tournament in January and there is still work to be done on my Bactrian Greeks.

Aventine miniatures are so characterful.

The great benefit of TtS is of course, like Impetvs before it, diorama bases. As long as the figures are on the required base footprint , one can do what you like in regard to positioning.

I went for four minis for the light infantry. In my army they represent Cretans and the list only allows two but you never know!

The remaining minis I made into a bow unit. Again, not strictly on the list but could be squeezed into a Bactrian Indian list as colonizers?

So, some progress has need made in the first week of November. The elephant screen is next but my modelling lamp has just collapsed and the painting queue may need some TLC before painting can restart!

    1. Cheers John! Smashing the light at the end of the session put a dampener on it!

  2. Probably better than at the start of the session (which I suppose, logically, would then mean the end of the session – crikey, I’m starting to sound like a politician)!
