Second Chance games had worked wonders. Some Commands and Colors games are going for silly prices, but this beauty of a game was reasonable. Production was of course excellent and the period was a favourite.

The stickering ( is that even a word?) has achieved infamy amongst the C and C community. It passed without a mumor, helped by YouTube videos over the course of two hours. And there the reservations begin.

It does say that the Crusades is an expansion but, it is an extension with no extra boards and no extra cards!

For more money than the base set one gets less! What really grated was that about a third of the blocks were late Roman rather than 11th century crusaders.

For someone with the surname Baldwin, the last blow was the worst! A Crusader general in Some kind of headgear that I didn’t recognise! I love the game. The mechanisms are so good! Will I continue to buy the games? Yes, but it’s a definate 7 out of ten for me, rather than the usual ten.
