After having your miniature army smashed to pieces in a short period of time, you could;
- Shake hands and thank your opponent for the game.
- Review the match to see what went right or wrong.
- Ask your opponent for tips on how you can improve.
- Pack your models carefully and check that you have all your dice and tools.

You could do any or all of the above things but then you may not fit into the Cardiff Dice Studz mind set….

Ways to Improve
- Look at your list to see if your units did their jobs well.
- Ferres response: no, I had maximum cavalry from the list and the Visigoths are horse phobic ( doubly so after this battle)
- Change your tactics for your next match.
- Ferres response: No, warband go forward- no sideways nor backwards – just forward!
- Practice deployment and movement on the board.
- No, I’m too depressed🤫
- Keep a positive mindset because every loss teaches you a new skill
- No: this battle taught me that I should have looked at the choice of armies for the Hispania campaign and avoided Visigoths!!!

Do I sound like a bad loser? Just a tad? To be honest, I did enjoy the game. I managed to knock a good few medals off the sneaky Alan before meeting my demise. But my next campaign move is definately Northward back to my home territory!
Holiday season now over: back to the drawing board for the campaign but lots of new projects await including SAGA, To the Strongest and Rapid Fire reloaded!
Best
Miguel de Santo la Cuerta Ferres
