Never keep a diary! Three years ago these miniatures were to be finished! And that is after the thirteen years wait that had elapsed since a threw out many of these exact same sculpts because they got mangled when we last moved house.

The mercenary host in full charge!

Well they are finally done! As part of my new policy of finishing off wargames armies, the remaining units are a priority! Thanks to Mark Morin for reminding me that projects can actually have a deadline.

These “ Condottieri” are from the fifteenth century and represent the mercenary bands raised by the contract of employment, the condotte.

The miniatures are from Mirliton and do have a drawback in that the metal is very soft. A few models fell at the last post and had to be binned as they broke legs and/ or lances.

The famous names of Attendolo, Colonna, Malatesa and Sforca live again!

I intend using Blue Moon miniatures to pad out the rest of the force as my French are huge in comparison and would not mix. Michelangelo ( below) is currently working on a tank for the baggage!

Plans are afoot!
Borgia poison incoming!

Have a great bank holiday!

Miguel
