It was over thirty years ago when this idea first came to me! We loved playing Avalon Hill’s Squad Leader so why not play the game, as indeed it was originally intended, with miniatures. The sensible choice would be 1/300 or 1/285 miniatures but we were young and foolish, we chose 1/72nd!
The Summer of glueing and modelling ended in ignominy! The project was dropped and years later Flames of War arrived. Now that Flames has gone to the great armour carpark in the sky, it was time to revisit Squad Leader.
One of the biggest attractions of the system was the eye catching boards and counters. However that was years ago and technology has moved on. Enter Heroes of Normandie!!!
So to work! I intended to make Flames of War unit cards, similar to Heroes of Normandie, in order to play Squad Leader the miniatures game!!!! Help!
Without wishing to start an A. I. debate, its tasks like this that allow tech phones like myself to enter the field…
First, remove the nomenclature from the counter or rather ask AI to remove it!
Then add the Squad Leader stats, this jeep will carry a .50 cal and has twenty four movement points.
Final stage: replace cartoon with photo of my 28mm model??? Should I bother? Do I need to photograph all my models? You decide!
